"We're a small tandem only dropzone that uses exclusively HOP tandem canopies and
couldn't be happier with them. Soft, reliable openings, good performance, light
toggle pressure and an excellent flare. A lot like flying around a big Stilletto.
We highly recommend them."

We first tried a demo Hop tandem canopy to see what they were like. At
the time we had a mixed bag of various canopies some we liked more than
others.
The hop performs well as a Tandem workhorse for us. Our centre
is busy on Tandem and last year we did just over 5000.
The openings are
slow and to start with take some getting used to.
Our tandem instructors
like this as its easy on the back. The canopy is lively and
makes for a
great ride down with very light toggle pressure.
The best feature is the
flare power of the design. We get good landings and my
instructors are
reluctant to fly other canopies if the hops are available. Most of the
canopies are hops now and
as they are good value it makes economic sense
as well. Initially I had concerns about the ability of the parachute in
turbulent conditions. However
having done at least 1000 Tandems on the
hop myself and having watched many other descents I have no quams to fly
the canopy in all conditions. Occasionally you may loose and end cell
when its warm and bubbly but the canopy continues to fly through the
turbulance well. The back up from the factory is good and getting parts
such as line sets is no problem. I would recommend the Hop to others who
run a Tandem operation.

“Some people lie through their teeth when writing testimonials, anticipating they may get cheap deals in the future. This isn't one of those testimonials.
Everything these guys write about the HOP330 is 100% correct.
I would not have purchased one without even asking for a discount if they weren't
the best Tandem Canopy on the market by far. I have had the pleasure of doing over 750 tandems on the HOP300 over the past 5 months and my only complaint is that I would have liked to do over 1000 jumps in that period…
HOP should stand for Huge Overall
Performance - no exaggeration. They’re quality through and through.”

" We have been jumping Hop Tandem canopies at Headcorn for about 5 years and have
found the soft openings, easy handling and gentle landings better than anything else we have tried.
We started off with just a couple of canopies, then a couple of instructors got their own. But
every time I went to pick up a rig all the Hops were being used, so in order to prevent fighting amongst the Instructors, and so that the Boss can get to play with one,
we are awaiting delivery of another five canopies!
We have
relined our oldest Hops and they are absolutely fine, and
we expect a lot more service from them."

" Our company started jumping HOP 330 canopies in 2001. We had jumped many other types and were looking for the best for our company and conditions. The demo
HOP 330 canopy gave predictable and consistent soft openings, easy toggle pressure and reliable landings.
We ordered a few canopies and found that our
instructors would line up for the HOP 330s and other canopies would sit on the rack unless there was no choice.
All of our canopies are now HOP 330s and we have completed
in excess of 30,000 jumps on them.
Our
malfunction rate on HOP 330s is virtually non-existent and I don't believe we have had even one hard opening. HOP 330s operate well in stronger winds and although they react to turbulence, overall they handle turbulence well.
We have been
impressed with the low maintenance, the life of the canopies and have been recently trialing a 170 and 120 Sports version. "
